Hi! My name is Neely Woodroffe and I am a member of the Advanced Chorus with the Miami Children’s Chorus. I have been invited to participate in a unique performing/travel experience with the MCC.

The award-winning Miami Children’s Chorus is finalizing plans for the MCC 2011 Performing/Travel Tour to include participation in the Ihlombe! South African Choral Festival. With this opportunity we will share the music we have learned and also experience first-hand the rich choral music tradition of South Africa.

However, I can’t make it there on my own. I kindly and respectfully ask for your support

and generosity in helping me get to South Africa. With your donation I will be able to

afford the travel & tour expenses associated with this amazing opportunity, which includes having my mom join me as a chaparone.

This tour will take us to Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria and Cape Town. It will include:

– 4 concert presentations including joint concerts with South African Choirs

– 2 workshops/choral exchanges with local South African Conductors and Choirs

– World Premier Performance of a new South African song

– A Game Reserve Safari Experience

– A community service project with a local school
