Juliane Kate Alba's Celebration

This upcoming summer, my friends and I will be volunteering in the Philippines with Gawad Kalinga USA. GK USA is a nonprofit organization that strives to end poverty in the Philippines. We will help build homes in the Philippines, interact and give gifts to different communities, and participate in a one week medical mission. During my term as Philanthropy Director of the Filipino Student Association at the University of Central Florida during the school year 2020-2021, I organized fundraising events and provided monetary donations to GK in support of their mission. SInce then, I have been an active member and have attended several conferences that planned how to grow the organization and aid those in need. I am looking forward to this experience and how it will be a part of my journey to become a future doctor!
